LET US HELP WEST SUMATRA'S CHILDRREN
 A catastrophic earthquake of 7.6 Richter scale that hit West Sumatera on Wednesday afternoon, 30 September 2009, has destroyed houses, tall buildings, bridges, schools, and hospitals. Many areas, including Padang and Padang Pariaman, are mercilessly razed to the ground. Hundreds of people died, and the number is believed to increase to more than one thousand. It has been a great tragedy, indeed.
As many as a third of the survivors are children, according to UNICEF, quoted in Kompas.com. As we know, children are usually the most-suffering victims in an emergency situation like this. There are many things that we have to think and care for them, from their health condition to their continuing education.
 The Indonesian Minister of National Education, Bambang Sudibyo, said on Friday (10/2/2009) afternoon, that, in Padang only, at least 90 percent of school buildings have been mildly, if not seriously, damaged. It is estimated that around 75% of school facilities in Padang have been forced to close temporarily due to these damages.
Femina Group would like to ask for your help to bring recovery to Padang and its surroundings. Your donation will be concentrated on restoring the educational facilities, in the form of repairs and/or rebuilding of damaged primary schools. This is an extension of our previous aid program in Aceh and Bantul (Yogyakarta). We believe that primary schools are the basic foundation for children to have a promising future. Our care will become a ray of light that will brighten their future.
 Our team has initiated a field check since the third day after the earthquake. You will receive the latest report through our media. The gathered donation will be given entirely to the victims. Femina Group will pay for all the operational expenses incurred during execution of this mission.
